Korean Air Introduces First Flying Duty-free Shop on A380 Planes

Starting June this year, Korean Air is introducing the world's first flying duty-free shop on its A380 passenger planes. Reports say that five A380 planes on the Incheon-Tokyo route will have the duty-free shops running from 10 June itself, while 10 other A380 planes will have them fitted in by 2014.

This means that duty-free goods will no longer be paraded in trolleys down the aisle of Korean Air passenger planes. The 407- seater Korean Air planes will have more than 64 duty-free cosmetics, liquors and accessories displayed in a shop that will be located on the main deck taking up the space of 13 economy class seats.

As per a News.com.au report, first-class passengers of Korean Air will get the foremost opportunity to shop. It is then that the business class passengers will be let in. Economy class passengers will be the last ones to enter the shop.
