New Zealand Surfing
The world-renowned surf in Taranaki, New Zealand has gotten international attention this month as the region plays host to a series of surfing contests that will culminate in a round of the world women's professional tour. Dozens of enthusiasts will flock to Oakura Beach for the annual Christian Surfers camp, at the same time that New Zealand's veteran surfers will be traveling to Taranaki to compete in the popular Easter Masters contest.
Following that competition, the bets female surfers in the world will take on the Taranaki waves in the TSB Bank Women's Surf Festival. Taranaki is a preferred venue for these events because it provides a consistent surf.
